A leader in high performance EVs and high-tech components for the electromobility segment

 

Based in Croatia, Rimac Group (“Rimac”) was formed in 2009 by Croatian entrepreneur and founder CEO Mate Rimac, current CEO, at the age of 21.

Rimac is mainly active in two divisions through its subsidiaries:

  • Development and production of high-tech components for electromobility, mainly high-performance battery systems supplied to high-end OEMs (e.g. Porsche, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin), though the subsidiary “Rimac Technology” (wholly owned by Rimac Group);
  • Bugatti-Rimac (55% owned by Rimac Group, 45% by Porsche / VW): combination of the Bugatti hypercar business with Rimac’s fully EV hypercar (the Nevera project). Bugatti-Rimac aims to be the leader in the hypercar space, combining Bugatti’s heritage and Rimac’s leading EV high-performance technology.

The company is headquartered in Sveta Nedelja, near Zagreb in Croatia and today employs nearly 1,100 employees dedicated to EV engineering. The company is planning to concentrate all R&D, components, and hypercars production and administrative activities in a new, state-of-the-art, 100,000 sqm, campus in Zagreb, which will be operational from 2023.
