Investindustrial named B-Corp “Best for the World” on Governance by B Lab for the second consecutive year

We are pleased to announce that Investindustrial has been recognised by B Lab as Best for the World™ 2022, with the score achieved in the Governance impact area on the B Impact Assessment being one of the top 5% in its size group worldwide. This is the second consecutive year that Investindustrial has been awarded Best for the World™.

In 2020, Investindustrial achieved B Corp™ Certification (www.bcorporation.net) as a result of its ongoing focus on sustainability and its approach to building better businesses. In doing so, the Firm joined a global network of leading industrial companies and investment firms across 71 countries.

Certifying as a B Corp™ goes beyond product or service-level certification and is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance.

As a B-Corp, Investindustrial sees the value from B-Corp™ certification to drive culture change in the companies, to build purpose and to drive positive value creation for all stakeholders. There are multiple elements for value creation and delivery through B-Corp™ namely the development of organisational identity and culture, innovation culture for products and services, systemic relations with stakeholders, sustainability integration with corporate strategy and strengthened governance structures. Six of Investindustrial's portfolio companies are currently going through the process of B-Corp™ certification, with B-Corp™ status expected late in 2022.

Investindustrial wins "Best ESG Private Equity Initiatives" award and Andrea C. Bonomi recognised as "Best Private Equity Personality of the Year"

Investindustrial has been recognised with two Global Awards at the recent virtual ceremony hosted by Private Equity Exchange.

Best ESG Initiative: during the year Investindustrial achieved a B CorpTM certification and obtained an ESG-linked credit facility of €600 million in addition to targeting achieving carbon neutrality across all its funds by the end of 2020.

Best Private Equity Personality of the Year: Andrea C. Bonomi was recognised for his vision and relentless commitment towards the industry’s innovation and excellence.

The category winners were selected by a jury comprised of leading institutional private equity investors. Private Equity Exchange is one of the largest conferences in Europe on private equity with approximately 1,200 participants.
 

Investindustrial wins "Best Fundraising and Investor Relations" Award

On 28th November 2019, Investindustrial received the Gold Award as "Best Fundraising and Investor Relations" at the awards ceremony in Paris hosted by Private Equity Exchange. During the year, Investindustrial successfully raised the Euro 3.75 billion Fund VII and further strengthened its six-person strong investor relations team located in both London and New York.
 

Investindustrial also received the Silver Awards for Best Italian, Spanish and ESG firm, confirming its position as leading European mid-market player.

Investindustrial wins ‘The Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Award’

On 18th April 2018, Investindustrial won ‘The Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Award’ at The Private Equity Awards 2018, an industry-leading award arranged by trade publication Real Deals, for its long history on engaging in ESG issues and its leadership in driving the ESG agenda in the industry. Investindustrial believes that incorporating sustainability considerations in its business decisions is essential in creating value for its stakeholders and that commerce can be used as a force for good as well as profit.

In addition Andrea C. Bonomi was inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’. The Private Equity Hall of Fame award was the special recognition of the ceremony, a black tie event in London with approximately 800 guests held for the last 16 years. The Hall of Fame recognises the contribution of an individual to the private equity industry, including their representation of the industry to government, business and the public, their work in improving the fiscal and legal environment for the industry, and success in their own field.

Investindustrial is pleased with the award given the high caliber of the competition, which comprised leaders of many of the world’s most prominent private equity firms.  The Private Equity Exchange Award is one of the largest European private equity summits and attract more than 1,200 industry participants. The category winners were selected by a jury including leading institutional investors.

Investindustrial awarded “Mediterranean Deal of the Year" at Private Equity Awards 2015

Investindustrial has been awarded Mediterranean Deal of the Year at The Private Equity Awards 2015, an industry-leading award arranged by trade publication Real Deals. Investindustrial was selected by a jury of seasoned private equity professionals and in conjunction with research and performance evaluation done by the Cass Business School.

Investindustrial awarded investor of the year at the UK-Italy business awards

At the beginning of 2014, Investindustrial received the prestigious Investor of the Year award at the seventh edition of the UK-Italy Business Awards, arranged by the British Government and UK Trade & Investment to showcase Italian excellence and prominent collaboration between Italy and the United Kingdom. The ceremony was held in Milan at the Borsa Italiana, part of the London Stock Exchange Group.

Investindustrial recognised as European Buyout House of the Year 2013

Investindustrial has been awarded the top accolade of "European Buyout House of the Year" at The Private Equity Awards 2013, an industry-leading award arranged by trade publication Real Deals.

Investindustrial was selected by a jury of seasoned private equity professionals and in conjunction with research and performance evaluation done by the Cass Business School.

Real Deals in a statement said that "Investindustrial won because of its eye-catching exit of motorbike manufacturer Ducati, which had its fortunes transformed by Investindustrial". The jury also quoted its successful €1.25 billion fundraising in 2012 as well as attractive new investments including Aston Martin.

PEI awards: Investindustrial has been recognised as the leading investment group in Southern Europe for the eighth time in twelve years

Investindustrial has been recognised as the Best Private Equity Firm in Italy by Private Equity International Awards. This was the eighth time in twelve years that Investindustrial has been recognised as the winner in this category, underlining the dominant position the Firm has built in Italy, in Southern Europe and as a leading European investment group overall. Investindustrial is honoured that Private Equity International and thousands of voters from the industry have again acknowledged the success of the Firm’s industrially-driven and hands on approach to private equity investing in the European mid-market.

The Private Equity Exchange Award is one of the largest European private equity summits and attract more than 1,200 industry participants and category winners are selected by a jury of leading institutional investors.

Investindustrial has been consistently recognised at the Private Equity Exchange Awards in Paris across various award categories, most notably strong investment efforts in Southern Europe as well as dedication to ESG and Investor Relations.

Given the high calibre of the competition, which always comprises other prominent private equity firms operating in the region and across Europe, Investindustrial is honoured to be nominated and recognised for their hard work.

Investindustrial has been awarded Best Business Development Strategy in China

Investindustrial has been awarded Best Business Development Strategy in China by the Italy- China Foundation. Investindustrial was the only private equity firm to receive this prestigious recognition largely dedicated to leading companies, institutions and personalities who have seized the opportunities offered by economic and cultural relations between Italy and China. The Italy-China Foundation is a partnership between the Economic Development Ministry, the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China.
